Müller & Weygandt is the market leader in dental mail order distribution in Germany and specialises in the distribution of dental consumables and small appliances.

M & W also operates in Austria, Switzerland and Hungary. Early in 2006, the company acquired Dentamed, the market leader for dental distribution and another competitor, Stomatol, in the Czech Republic. Further, the company entered the German market for dental low-cost prosthetics, through the acquisition of InteraDent Zahntechnik AG, including a production site in Manila, in October 2006. In May 2007 the fourth add-on acquisition, Prodent, the market leader for dental distribution in Slovenia and Croatia, was completed.

All existing and acquired operations were combined under the holding EDP – European Dental Partners to steer the international expansion.

The group is expected to generate revenues of more than €100 million and currently employs 500 personnel.
