Target Ovarian Cancer

Every year 7,300 women in the UK are diagnosed with ovarian cancer and 11 women die every day from the condition.

Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK’s leading ovarian cancer charity, working to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide much-needed support to women with ovarian cancer. We are the authority on ovarian cancer, working with women, family members and health professionals to ensure we target the areas that matter most for those living and working with ovarian cancer.

Silverfleet has a close association with Target Ovarian Cancer, with Andrew Harrison (Head of Investor Relations) being a member of the Board of Trustees.

McDonald's Kinderhilfe

Since 1987, the McDonald's Kinderhilfe Foundation has been committed to the health and well-being of children and their families. The non-profit organisation operates 22 Ronald McDonald homes near children's clinics throughout Germany as a temporary home for families of critically ill children, where parents and siblings can stay close by when a child becomes seriously ill and needs treatment in the clinic.

The Ronald McDonald House in Munich-Großhadern was opened on 4 June 1997 as a temporary home for families whose seriously ill children are being treated at the University Hospital Großhadern. Each year, 200 families can stay together and, with their close proximity, can support the healing process of their sick child.
