Silverfleet Capital recruits a Co-Head of Lower Mid-Market Investing and a Co-Head of the Benelux Region

Silverfleet Capital (“Silverfleet”) the European private equity firm that specialises in buy-to-build investments has recently added to its investment capabilities, recruiting a Co-Head of Lower Mid-Market Investing and a Co-Head of the Benelux Region based in Amsterdam.

Alex Brebbia has joined Silverfleet as a partner based in London. Alongside David MacKenzie, he co-heads Silverfleet’s investment activities in the lower mid-market, targeting businesses with enterprise values between €25 million and €75 million.

Alex has a long and successful track record of investing in smaller buyouts and was latterly a Managing Partner at Spring Ventures, prior to which he was the Co-Head of Barclays Ventures. Alex started his private equity career in 1997 at 3i, initially in Edinburgh and then in Dublin. He has a degree in engineering from Durham University and also qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Erik Fuchs who is based in Amsterdam has joined Silverfleet as Co-Head of the Benelux Region working alongside Adrian Yurkwich. Erik previously worked with Alpha Private Equity after a career in corporate finance with Rabobank, Lazard and ABN AMRO. Erik holds a Master’s Degree in Business Economics from the Erasmus University, Rotterdam.

Silverfleet has a successful track-record, prior to Alex and Erik joining the firm, of investing in both the lower mid-market and Benelux region. The current team made and realised 21 smaller buyout deals that generated a 2.8x gross money multiple and the Amsterdam-headquartered business services company TMF, which Silverfleet and management acquired from SNS Reaal, was a highly successful buy-to-build investment. Over the period that Silverfleet were shareholders, TMF completed more than 50 add-on acquisitions around the world and generated a 6.2x gross money multiple and 57% gross IRR on exit.
