STAXS

Founded in 1995, STAXS is a contamination control specialist. It’s a leading supplier of mission critical consumable items to the highly regulated life sciences sector, for use in their cleanrooms. Many of these products are specified for its customers’ manufacturing processes, ensuring a good quality of earnings.

Its products, including many sold under its own DOTCH® brand, range from top-quality mops and disinfectants to gloves, goggles and other disposable garments.

Based in Heerenveen, The Netherlands, and Niel, Belgium, STAXS predominantly serves its long-established customer base in the Benelux region and selectively sells into other geographies. STAXS’ customers highly value the technical advice they are able to provide.

Our investment

Our team is helping STAXS to continue its strong organic growth trajectory. This consists of expanding its international business and product range, and investing in sales and marketing.

We are supporting the management team to improve the company’s operational performance, notably by embracing technology to ensure a superior service at as lower cost. This benefits all aspects of operations, including marketing, sales, order fulfilment, quality control and performance measurement.

We are also reviewing the company’s business model. One of the initial projects was to sell STAXS’ non-core laundry business, completed January 2020. Shortly, we will be expanding the Heerenveen premises to increase capacity, partly to accommodate the increasing volumes of products sold under the DOTCH® brand.

Furthermore, the company will benefit from Silverfleet’s history of helping businesses to internationalise alongside our healthcare expertise, which includes investments in a pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing business, and a contract sterilisation services company.
